Food odors may activate impulse area of the brain in obese children

A study being presented at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), taking place November 29–December 4, shows that the area of the brain associated with impulsivity and the development of obsessive-compulsive disorder may be activated in obese children when introduced to food smells.
