FDA extends comment period on food for animals proposed rule

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is extending the comment period for the proposed rule “Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Food for Animals” and the “Draft Qualitative Risk Assessment of Risk of Activity/Animal Food Combinations for Activities (Outside the Farm Definition) Conducted in a Facility Co-Located on a Farm,” both of which appeared in the Oct. 29, 2013 Federal Register.
