Discount grocer Aldi is testing a private label gluten-free line.
All Aldi stores started carrying 16 “LiveGfree” shelf-stable and frozen items this month. Price points range from $ 1.29 to $ 4.99.
After this month, only about 300 stores in a variety of test markets will continue to carry LiveGfree products. A chainwide rollout of the most popular items is planned for later this year, according to Liz Ruggles, an Aldi spokeswoman.
The line was produced in accordance with the FDA’s gluten-free labeling regulations, according to Ruggles.
